Israel and Hamas Engagement 1

Israel and Hamas have been at war for a while now. Over 11,100 Palestinians had been killed as of November 10 one out of every 200 people in Gaza which says it can no longer provide an official death toll because of the intensity of fighting and repeated communication breakdowns. At least 1,200 people were killed in Hamas’s October 7 assault on Israel, the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. How this all started was On October 7, Hamas militants launched an unprecedented cross-border attack on Israel. In a highly organized stealth assault, they bulldozed the border fence in multiple places, caught Israel’s security apparatus off-guard, and overwhelmed military defenses. Surprised by the lack of resistance, the attackers turned the operation into a bloody and chaotic rampage through civilian areas. Some people asked how all this happened, this all happened in 1987. Palestinians and Israelis alike consider the territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea as their own. Before October 7, there were 6,407 Palestinian and 308 Israeli fatalities in the past 15 years. The Palestinians who stayed in Israel have faced discrimination and oppression. There have been many forms of discrimination that the Palestinians have faced such as unlawful killings, the taking of land, and the denial of citizenship. The countries bordering Israel also have problems with them as they are not Muslim countries so there have been numerous wars between the neighboring countries. This conflict has divided many people outside of these countries as many people are picking sides to the conflict, which has sparked outrage from both sides of the political spectrum.
