The Code of Hammurabi made Babylon's civilization have more order than chaos. He wanted to make sure that Babylon had some sort of order and law since it wasn’t like that before. Hammurabi’s religion involved his offerings of food, cleaning, and many more which he gave to the people of Babylon so they would make him king. When his code of laws kicked in Babylon’s civilization there was that balance it needed but it did come with some prices. At the time it showed how advanced their civilization was from a political standpoint since it included order and justice and it maintained a person who was in control, who had that power to fix or change his codes. Gilgamesh, the gods in this story show that some cultures have different approaches to religion. In this story, the city of the gods turned old which meant the city turned old too. There were a lot of people down below which meant there was chaos so Anu, Enlil, and Ennugi decided to exterminate mankind. During this time many civilizations believed that there were multiple gods to worship and if you didn't, consequences would occur. This happens today too, in some regions of the world, many cultures still have this belief to this day. Depending on what you prefer these two are both the same just. In Conclusion Both the Code of Hammurabi and Gilgamesh share many similarities in their civilizations like a ruler, their religion, and how the people roam within these civilizations.
